4th grade Lakewood Elementary School
I am Karen Bice and am excited to be teaching 4th grade Math and Science again. This will be my 17th year at Lakewood Elementary, and my 22nd year teaching in Phenix City Schools. I have been teaching 4th grade for 19 years, and taught 3rd grade my first three years. I earned my Elementary Education degree from Troy University. My husband recently retired from teaching and coaching in Phenix City Schools, and is now teaching and coaching in Harris County, Georgia. Both of my children, a daughter and a son, are wonderful adults, and I have three precious grandchildren by my daughter. I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and family.

Hello! My name is Hannah Denney. I am thrilled to be teaching your child Reading and Social Studies this year! I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Troy University in 2015. This will be my fourth year teaching in Phenix City Schools. I spent my first three years in education at Phenix City Elementary School teaching 4th grade Math and Science. I spent the 2018-2019 school year staying home with my son and teaching online ESL. I am so excited to be back in the classroom this year with your child! I am married to my husband of 8 years, Adam Denney. I have no pets, but I have a very spunky three-year-old son named Silas. I love spending time with my husband and my son when I am not at school.
